Security and Privacy

With all the technology out there growing faster than ever , along with it you see the rise of  ads for security…whether it be from identity theft, or password protected phones, computers..even more and more advances on home security systems.

Who would have thought one day you could see who comes to your door when they ring your doorbell through a camera that u can watch on your phone, without even being there? 

What about all the hidden cameras in places you aren’t even aware is a camera? Or how I have heard some people talk about something one minute and then they get ads showing up on their phones specifically what they were just talking about??

 

Nowadays we are so careful about  what info we put out there.  Some people will invest in thousands to keep their personal info out of the wrong hands. Or pay thousands for the most up to date state of the art security systems for their house, so they can feel safer.

Was An Eye Opener To Me

It made me ponder……we are so meticulous about staying safe and taking measures, that why are we slack when it comes to guarding our spiritual man?

Wow, Lord so true…made me ask forgiveness and do some reflecting at myself…

Now we would never let a venomous snake or someone into our house that we know is not safe, but the Lord showed me how easy it is to let dangers slip in that are just as dangerous or toxic to our spiritual man.

Colossians 3:5

8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
 
35 See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness.

Our Physical Body vs. Our Spiritual Body(Man)

I am talking about our physical man as well as our spiritual man (Our Temple, body where the Holy Spirit dwells?

It  is so very important to not even leave a crack that the enemy can sneak through.

I am so bad at this…There are times where I have sat through a movie that I knew was toxic and put up with it. Even  lingered a little longer than I should have at something that may have popped up on my computer.

Or may have let negative thoughts grow and fester or toxic people or relationships stay a little longer in my life than I should have.

 

 




 

 

Our 5 Senses

It made me think of all the openings where our 5 senses work. My eyes-seeing, My ears-hearing, My mouth -speaking or tasting, Smell and Touch. 

1. Eye Gates

What are we watching or looking at ? Is it healthy and God approved? A good test is if Jesus sat down next to us…would we share it with Him or try to hide and be embarrased?

2. Ear Gates

What are we listening to and allowing to grow?

Are we careful what words we are receiving or toxic words damaging us ?

3. Mouth Gate

What am I speaking or feeding on?

Even our mouth can get us into all kinds of trouble..Yikes.!

Gossip can be so contagious that we can get so involved when we just need to walk away before we get all entangled and caught up in it.

Even feeding…what are we eating? I have fallen so short when trying to eat healthy, will gorge on things that I know are so bad or unhealthy and suffer the next day for it LOL.

4. Nose Gates

What about smelling?

What we allow to smell….Now the Lord delivered me from cigarettes, but I remember there was a time, when if I just smelled cigarettes it would bring back the memories of when I used to smoke. Now it turns my stomach at times. So I used to have to walk away.

5. Touch

What about touching?

Even touching…Touch no unclean thing….Don’t even pick something up that we know is harmful to us. 

Now this is in no way to judge or condemn anyone….this is just a time of reflection of how careful we are when it comes to keeping ourselves safe and our families safe , that no matter how many deadbolts we have on our doors,,,we can still knowingly or unknowingly let danger in somewhere..

I have fallen short so many times in all these areas and Lord brought it back to remind me and teach me.

Like myself, I encourage You to ask the Lord to show you if there are any openings left unguarded or cracks where you let toxic or deadly things into your life and how to get rid of them.

You may have to do a house cleaning like I did times past when I would ask the Lord to inspect my house and show me things I needed to move on from, or throw away, or even burn one time in a fire pit outside, just to be done with it and move on.

If you have never known this personal kind of relationship with Jesus and have all kinds of toxic things taking over your life…I encourage you to first surrender and give your life to Him.

 He will show you and renew you into the person you were always meant to be and teach you how to live a life in freedom and victory as you learn from His Word .

BIBLE…. Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.  It is another gift of His to us to help us everyday..I will leave this simple prayer for you. To have a fresh, new start.
