“MAKE IT COUNT”

        MAKING IT COUNT

There are some days I am reminded about making it count?? It can be our time, to make every minute count as far as being productive and what works best to get tasks done more efficiently. Or perhaps how our actions or decisions we make today can have an affect on our future and how choices we make TODAY can impact our tomorrows.

What the Lord has really been talking to me lately about is His Work in this life and using every minute listening to His voice. Making every minute count….Such as following His voice whether it be to pray with someone, or witness, or perhaps just a kind gesture or a simple smile. We may never know when an opportunity to share His Love is so much needed and we never know what another person is going through or battling. Maybe just even questioning if someone really cares or even longing just to know that God is real.

How to we hear from God?

The Holy Spirit gives us discernment or wisdom about things that go against His Word, the Bible. If we renew our mind daily and have God’s word tucked in our hearts then we will know the things that are from Him and not from Him. He will never tell you to do something that goes against His Word.  This is helpful in the decisions we make daily. From getting rid of things that are harmful to us ,to simply being available when he wants to use us.  We may hear voices that will distract us from obeying God. But if we know God’s voice, we will not be confused. We all  need to start making baby steps in our daily walk with God. In God’s time, God’s purpose will be revealed to us. Obey God in the small things so we will be ready for the bigger plans He has for us. Do not delay!. Make it count!!

Sometimes we are so caught up in this world and engrossed in todays technology (I am guilty of being on my phone, when we aren’t even aware who or what is around us.. Next time you are in a waiting room or a public place notice how many people don’t even talk with each other as much anymore because we are looking down at our phones .etc.

Living in a noisy, busy  world

Never has the world had so much, yet been so miserable. Depression, unhappiness, confusion, frustration, unfulfilled hopes and dreams, dissatisfaction, emptiness— and HOPELESS MISERY—describe humanity the world over.

Many are pursuing happiness, but in all the wrong places! . Neither have devices to make life simpler or more convenient, which were supposed to bring people more leisure time to “enjoy themselves and spending more time with others, solved the problem either. Searching for more happiness and Joy in this world.

True Peace and Joy

“These things have I spoken unto you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full” (John 15:11).

“In Your [God’s] presence is fullness of joy” (Psa. 16:11).

“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).

You hear so many people say that Christianity is like a prison or bound up with do’s and don’ts and no fun. They see the Lord as a drill sergeant or a dictator ready to tighten the hold and force you into a puppet. First of all, He all gave us free will, second, He loves us so much that He gave us a set of guides or maps and detours to prevent us from pain or hurt further down the road. Sometimes we may experience and go through things and not understand ?? But if we saw the future and the whole big picture like He does, He may have prevented or protected us from something further down the road? We may sometimes question God for things, but if we only could see how much He is watching over us and working in our lives…..

BIBLE -Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth

Enjoying Abundant Life and Joy

Time is so precious and short and there is a whole world the Lord created for us to see and enjoy ! Yes things aren’t always rosey and this world we live in today is chaotic, but we can still feel peace in the midst of the storms of this life.

John 14:27– Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Isaiah 26:3– You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You. Because he trusts in You.

2 Thes. 3:16– These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

Making It Count

1 Cor. 9:24– Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.

Making it count… what  do we all want to be known for? Showing the Love of Jesus, or mean and bitter? Showing compassion and mercy or being hostile and unforgiving? When it comes all down to it? Are we making it count when we have the opportunity or just planting bad seeds along the way?

I challenge you as I myself am going to do….next time you are sitting somewhere instead of getting buried in your phone, put it down and look around, enjoy what is around you and be in the moment,,,,… and listen …Maybe you will be surprised at what the Lord wants to tell you or perhaps show you…

Again, as always, if you have never known this kind of real relationship with the Lord, and the Peace He longs to give you. I will leave this simple prayer with you.

Enjoy the moment and take time to Breathe….
