“POTTY MOUTH”

Do you suffer from a “POTTY MOUTH?”

Yes, I will admit I have to constantly keep in check and  a lot of times daily have to run to the Lord and ask forgiveness and help me with my “POTTY MOUTH” . Now I’m not talking about profanity necessarily (cussing like a sailor) but anything that comes out of your mouth that you know is not edifying, lining up with God’s word, or pleasing to Him.

The power of the tongue is life and death— those who love to talk will eat what it produces.

Not only are our words powerful, but  they can produce in us life or death. Have you ever noticed someone who sees the glass half empty or the glass half full. An optimist vs a pessimist? We can live in a very flourishing, healthy, vibrant, full of joy world even when the world can be falling all around us. Or we can be a creator of our own dark prison. It can all depend on how we see it and speak it forth. Have you ever noticed a person when you ask how they are you get an hours worth of problems and answers opening up a can of worms? Sometimes you will  notice that person is depressed, sick all the time, and constantly in drama.

I’ve seen a person who has every right to be down, be the most positive person, smiling, helping others, and vibrant ,enjoying life. This is Nick Vujicic…what an inspiration and positive attitude he has in life. His videos bring me to tears…such a softy LOL

Keep speaking words of death and chances are you will start feeling horrible.

Speak words of life and watch situations change, mountains of problems move out of the way,  and feel like you are years younger than you actually are.

“Though the tongue is small, it is set on fire of hell. With the same tongue we bless the Lord and curse our friends.”

 Words are important.

After all, God created the universe with words. He spoke and it was so

With your words you either say something worthwhile or something that is not worth anything at all

Everything you have said this week has either been life-giving or death-dealing, and there is nothing in between. The tongue has the power to kill, to destroy, to hurt, to maim and to assassinate.

Can’t take back your words

I’m sure we have all been told sometime “If you don’t have anything nice to say,,,, don’t say anything at all”   Wow how hard that is sometimes!

There are days when I feel mad or treated unfairly or just out of control and my mouth spews garbage.  I think sometimes if I just get it out or off my shoulders I will feel better. Most of the time though I feel remorse and wish I hadn’t said something. I have to run to the Lord sometimes on a daily basis to forgive and help me keep my trap shut.

We are all in a process or under construction

We are all under construction and the Lord is making me more sensitive and aware…that before I open my mouth

1. Is it edifying or lifting someone up or is it destroying and tearing down by slander or gossip.

2. Will it actually change or help the situation…or will it keep the volatile fire burning and stir up more destruction. Like in an argument…a little spark can cause a fire, but a soft word or nothing at all can quench or prevent that fire from starting in the first place.

A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1

I am far from perfect and mess up all the time, but when I ask forgiveness and know that the Lord forgives and has mercy and Lord knows PATIENCE with me LOL. More and more I am learning to run to HIM and HE Is my advocate and my avenger and can change the situation faster and in a way only He can. Who am I to judge ? I have to let go and let God.
